Molloy College - Tuition Reduction
Programs
Molloy College, located in central Nassau County,
offers a twenty-ve percent (25%) tuition reduction.
Undergraduate reduction is for all classes taken in
any major. Graduate tuition reduction is for all
classes taken in the Master of Science (MS) program
in Criminal Justice only. The tuition reduction applies
to all credits each semester (spring, fall, intercession,
or summer for an entire degree). In addition, the
application fee is waived.
Eligibility: Uniformed and civilian members of
the service.
Note: Molloy College is located at 1000 Hempstead
Avenue, Rockville Centre NY 11571 (south of Southern
State Parkway between exits 19 and 20, adjacent to
Mercy Hospital). The College offers Bachelor of Art,
and Bachelor of Science degree programs in a variety
of areas such as Business Administration, Criminal
Justice, Nursing, Social Work, and degrees leading to
New York State Teacher certication. Molloy College
accepts college credits earned through Department
training (recruit, advanced specialized, etc.) as
recommended by the National College Credit
Recommendation Service (CCRS).

Monroe College Criminal Justice
Program - Law Enforcement
Professionals Grant
Monroe College, which offers classes at their Bronx
and New Rochelle campuses, on-line, and at their
Queens extension site, understands how important it is
for law enforcement professionals to enhance their
education. Monroe College has created a special grant
to be awarded to members of the NYPD. The College
recognizes the need to make higher education more
affordable for the uniformed members of the NYPD.
A total of fty (50) Law Enforcement Grants will be
available to uniformed members of the service who
enroll either part-time or full-time in an associate’s,
bachelor’s or master’s degree program at Monroe
College. The grant provides a fifty percent (50%)
tuition reduction to those students who qualify.
Civilian members will receive a twenty percent (20%)
tuition reduction.
Eligibility: This grant is available to all active,
inactive, retired, and disabled members of the NYPD.
Recipients must meet all of the undergraduate
admissions requirements and be accepted to the
college. For the fty percent (50%) tuition grant, an
essay and a formal interview with the Dean of the
Criminal Justice Program are mandatory in order to be
considered as a candidate for the grant.
