AEMA CERTIFIED The Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) offers its
members the opportunity to achieve the "Certified" status of membership by successfully passing
their Certification Exam, given each June at their National Convention. This professionally
validated achievement has been awarded since 1991. AEMA certification is required by the NFL,
most major colleges, and many other governing sports bodies across the United States, Canada,
and Japan. Certified members are required to maintain their status by completing Continuing
Education Unit credits every three years. The goal of the AEMA is to encourage the
advancement and improvement of safety in every sport and recreational activity and to assist with
educating those involved in these endeavors. More information and the requirements to sit for

The AEMA and Football Green Book have created an alliance to provide National
recognition for the benefits and opportunities for its membership and their
respective programs.
