2-weekjurytrialofaclaimagainstanapartmentcomplexforthewrongfuldeathofatwenty-
montholdtoddler.Lauriehasalsobeensuccessfulonasummaryjudgmentmoonsinvolving
anythingfromanexculpatoryclausetoacaseinvolvingasignicantinjuryfromanelectricshock
fromanallegedly defecvedrinkingfountain. Laurie, alongwith another partner inthe rm,
has conducted risk management seminars to several of the rm’s clients. The programs have
illustratedtheimportantaspectsofmanagingriskandaddressingtheinvesgaonofaccidents
andclaims.LaurieisamemberofCommunityAssociaonsInstute,MissouriOrganizaonof
DefenseLawyers,andtheBarAssociaonofMetropolitanSt.Louis.

JimmanagedaspecialtyteamhandlingEPLIandgeneralliabilityclaimsforZurich.Jim’sclaims
career spans over 30 years and has managed claims teams for various regional and naonal
carriersincludingTraveler’s,Fireman’sFund,SecuraandAmericanFamilyhandlingcommercial
and personal lines claims. He graduated from Missouri Western with a degree in Business
AdministraonandobtainedhisCPCUin1995.
John NesbihasmanagedcommercialinsuranceclaimsatSwissRe(previouslyERC)for
17years.Forthelast10years,hehashandledinsuranceagentserrors&omissionsclaims.Hehas
alsohandledmedialiability,aorneysexcesse&o,architectsandengineerse&o,realestatee&o,
generalliability,andpublicentyclaimsforthecompany.BeforejoiningSwissRe,Johnpracced
lawandalsoworkedasajudiciallawclerkforastateappellatecourtjudge.JohnhasaJ.D.from

AuditCommieesaerservingformanyyearsonitspolicy-makingbody,theHouseofDelegates.
HewasthechairoftheABA’sSeconOcersConference,inwhichcapacityherepresentedthe
